On behalf of the VGH Healthcare Foundation, thank you for your participation in the Tree of Lights fundraising efforts this year. It was amazing and very gratifying to see everyone get behind this effort – it was truly a community effort. We've set the bar very high for years to come, raising well over $85,000 this year for digital mammography. It will pay dividends for our community starting next month when our mammography machine will be put into service. You can find the complete list of donors here. If you'd still like to make a donation please feel free to do so. Any gifts that come to us before the end of the year will be put towards digital mammography. After that, it will go toward next year's Tree of Lights projects. Again, thank you all and have a very Merry Christmas.The mission of the Virginia Gay Hospital Healthcare Foundation is the continuation of health and medical care to people of the Virginia Gay Hospital service area. Our concern for humanity is demonstrated by a commitment to obtain and distribute funds through the Virginia Gay Hospital Healthcare Foundation that will promote, maintain and restore the health of the individuals it serves.
The Virginia Gay Hospital Healthcare Foundation acquires and administers charitable gifts for the benefit of Virginia Gay Hospital & Clinics. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors.
The Foundation uses the funds it raises and receives to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, enhance facilities, and develop special programs to help VGH and Clinics remain in the forefront of medical care. Our goal is to help bring an ever-increasing quality of health care to our communities. Virginia Gay Hospital is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a Non-profit Organization or 501(c)(3).
